X-Wing Season 1 Games Day Kit Event

What: X-Wing Season 1 Game Night kit event
Where: Holy Family Manor
When: Saturday August 9th, noon to 4pm

GASP  will be running a free game night kit event for X-Wing, with the Season 1 kit. We are able to do this through the generosity of our resident game vendor, Chuck-a-Con game sales, who has donated these kits to GASP. We’re passing the savings onto the gaming community.

Since this will happen during our Games Days, so there will be the normal $5 charge to attend Games Day, but no additional cost to participate in the event (other stores charge $10 or more to play in these). Prizes for Season 1 are listed below.  After the event, feel free to stay and game the rest of the day away.

This mini tournament will start promptly at noon, and should go about 4 hours, depending on attendance.

Event registration will start at 11am, tournament kicks-off promptly at noon.

Cost: FREE (after $5 admission to GASP Games Day)

What is a Tournament Kit?

Beginning in 2014, FFG Organized Play kits are divided between Tournament Kits and Game Night Kits. Game Night Kits are now available for our cooperative games, such as Descent and The Lord of the Rings. The Organized Play kits for our competitive games, however, have been expanded into Tournament Kits. These kits now include more prize support and promotional material designed to support competitive tournament play at local retailers. The kit includes a guide to supporting an eight-week tournament series, but it can also be used to host a single tournament, more casual Game Nights or leagues, or for whatever suits your local play environment best.

What’s in the 2014 Season One X-Wing Tournament Kit?
Each 2014 Season One X-Wing Game Night Kit comes with materials built to support players as they participate in the game’s fast-paced starship dogfights:
• One exclusive medal for the tournament champion
• Two movie still versions of Colonel Jendon
• Seventeen movie still versions of Dagger Squadron Pilot
• Two card boxes – one Imperial and one Rebel Alliance – for storing ship cards, upgrade cards, and tokens
• Two packs of five ion tokens and three seismic charge tokens
• A promotional poster showing two modified TIE interceptors
• One informational pamphlet on running a tournament
